Jones Howler Snowboard 2027

The Jones Howler is a charger and easily one of the most explosive and satisfying boards we've ridden in some time.

This is a board that sings when you're on your game, and tackles everything with confidence when you're not.

The full camber profile gives the Howler an incredibly connected feel from tip to tail, making it one of the strongest carving boards Jones has ever built. Whether you're laying trenches on early morning corduroy or navigating icy conditions in the afternoon, the edge hold is nothing short of impressive.

That confidence doesn't come at the expense of personality, either.

The Howler has an incredible amount of energy. It loads naturally through every carve, rebounds with authority coming out of the turn, and seems to encourage you to look for every side hit, roller, and transition on the mountain. It's one of those boards that makes linking turns just as fun as the terrain itself. 

Compared to the Flagship, the Howler leans more toward precision and control than float and fluid feel. The Flagship enters and exits turns a little more smoothly and naturally favors softer snow or big open trails. The Howler, on the other hand, feels more locked in, offers noticeably stronger edge hold, and rewards riders who enjoy driving hard through every carve or utilizing the powerful kick from the tail.

That's not to say it gives up much when the snow gets soft. The directional shape still floats well on powder days with some help from lightweight Koroyd in the nose, and it's remarkably quick through technical trees where its responsiveness comes into play as well. It simply approaches the mountain with a little more urgency.

This is a board that rewards great riding without requiring it. The harder you drive it, the more grip, pop, and precision it gives back. But unlike many high-performance boards, it never feels like it's waiting for you to make a mistake. It can handle itself but is the most fun when you grab the reigns.
