Lange Code 130 BOA MV Ski Boots 2027

Bootfitter's Notes
The Code 130 MV replaces the XT3 and improves upon it in all the right places. While the XT3 earned a loyal following for its downhill performance, its walk mode always lagged behind the best hybrid boots on the market. The Code changes that with a significantly improved walk mechanism that delivers the range of motion and natural stride you'd expect from a modern 50/50 boot.
The fit has also been completely redesigned. Inspired by the success of Lange's Shadow alpine boots, the Code MV features a more anatomical shell with a noticeably more accommodating instep than previous Lange boots. Built on a true 100 mm last, it strikes an excellent balance between precision and comfort. The heel remains secure and performance-oriented, while the added instep volume makes it a much easier boot to fit than previous Lange touring models.
Despite the touring upgrades, this is still unmistakably a Lange. The Code 130 MV is built for skiers who care most about how a boot performs on the descent. The 130 flex is powerful, smooth, and confidence inspiring, with the suspension and progressive flex pattern Lange has become known for. It drives skis with authority while remaining composed in variable snow and at higher speeds.
Both the shell and liner are fully heat moldable, making it straightforward for a bootfitter to dial in the fit.
If you're looking for a true 50/50 boot but refuse to compromise on downhill performance, the Lange Code 130 MV is one of the strongest options in the category. It climbs like a modern hybrid boot while skiing much closer to a dedicated alpine boot than most of its competitors.
