Bootfitter's Notes

While Salomon continues to offer the Supra in a Dual BOA configuration, we chose to bring in the Shell BOA version instead. Both boots share the exact same fit and shell shape, but we prefer the combination of a BOA over the lower foot with traditional cuff buckles. The Shell BOA creates an incredibly even wrap across the forefoot and instep, while the buckles allow you to independently adjust the cuff and lower leg for a more performance-driven feel.

The fit remains one of the biggest reasons we recommend the Supra. It's a true mid-volume boot with an anatomical shape that accommodates a wide range of average-width feet. The instep is generous without feeling sloppy, the forefoot isn't overly restrictive, and the toe box has enough vertical room to stay comfortable throughout the day. The plush liner makes the boot feel great right out of the box while still providing excellent heel hold.

On snow, the 120 flex hits a sweet spot for many skiers. It's supportive enough to confidently drive modern all-mountain skis but remains smooth and progressive rather than overly stiff or demanding. Power transfer is predictable, edge engagement feels precise, and the boot is forgiving enough that strong intermediates can continue progressing while advanced skiers won't outgrow it.

Like the rest of Salomon's Custom Shell lineup, both the shell and liner are heat moldable, making it easy for a bootfitter to fine-tune the fit if needed.

If you're looking for a high-performance mid-volume boot that's comfortable enough to ski from first chair to last, the Supra 120 Shell BOA is one of our favorite options. It combines excellent foot hold, all-day comfort, and a balanced flex in a package that works for a huge range of resort skiers.
